Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1939. Since its creation, Batman, which is still published to this day by DC Comics, has gone on to become one of the most popular comics in history. Batman, the character, is really Bruce Wayne, a wealthy guy who started fighting crime after he witnessed his parents' tragic murder at a very young age. Batman takes on Gotham City's corruption with trusty sidekick Robin, taking on such villains as The Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, and more.
